Substance Abuse Prevention Program

If you know of a Soldier or Airman in distress who needs immediate assistance, call the crisis hotline at 1-800-273-8255.

The Substance Abuse Prevention Program provides units with prevention training and education, NGB required Substance Abuse Prevention (SAP) training, assessment/treatment referrals for command directed, alcohol related offenses and self-referrals, general information on substance abuse, policies, and available services/resources. The program also oversees the Unit Risk Inventory process. Programs for education, prevention and treatment are available to service members, including a self-referral policy/procedure. Not all providers are aware of specific military member needs so connection coordinated by the alcohol and drug control office staff is more likely to be effective.
